Do you tell your insurance company all the mods, for example suspension changes, added fuel tanks, fairings etc?
Obviously all these mods raise the value of the bike so do they accept the mods without too much loading to the premium?
What insurance company is the best to use?

Asking the question before I take the plunge and possibly end up with a massive headache.

Try e-bike, they are fairly accommodating.

My KTM950S was prepared for a ride to Mongolia and thus has more than the normal number of modifications i.e revised suspension, bar risers and Scott damper, normal off-road protection mods etc etc

Disclosed them to e-bike and no issues at all

Modifications seem to be an issue to some insurance companies but not others.....
I'm with Devitt & my modified/non standard 650 Transalp doesn't incur extra premium, they do however want 10% of the premium extra for an auxillary tank that I'm looking at fitting to the X Country.

another +1 for ebike, took all my mods and insured my berg for less than the renewal on my xc from swinton
