All my GS's had Tourances except the current which came with Anakees.

Never had any issues with either.

Front now looking a bit thin and just wondering was there anything more suitable for the 400 mile weekly winter commute?

I know the Tourances have great life so will go that route if there's nothing better. I do 100% road so don't really need a dualsport tyre.

Any of the sport touring tyres better suited to the crappy weather we're facing into?

Just put a Mitas E08 on the back of my 1150 to replace the Tourance that was on it. Not a fan of Tourances - I found the one that was on it noisy and reacted strangely on the crap Kerry roads. The Mitas is much better and cheaper - not sure of the longevity but based on the Mitas E07s I have on the Transalp I'm expecting good life from it.

Pilot Road front and Pilot Road 2ct rear done well the past 2 winters. Should have PR3's this winter.
