the famous sign post in Ballyvaughan was removed, accompanied with much complaining and such on Joe Duffy's and his peers.
wasn't back there since April, guess the sign are creeping back though.

I noticed only last week that the South Dublin Council have removed a lot of these unapproved, information signs from around the Tallaght area.
It's about time some of the other councils followed their lead.

Why what harm does it do really? Ireland thrives on it's tourism and anything that get the tourists to their destination is not really a bad thing It only takes a moment to read a few extra signs
They go back with the feel good factor and mention how easy it was to find somewhere
Imagine what it's like for them up in Donny Ma Gall with the Gaeltacht areas and the for example signs for Dunloe have 3 spellings in Irish!

Signage in Ireland is shocking, unless of course there's money in it for someone, hence the likes of the above photo's.
