Great write-up on the LC GS

All the reports , so far, agree that the handling has taken a big step forwards. I always thought the old bike was pretty good in the twisties so it seems we will be having more fun.

No report yet on the aero and if that is better.......but as it has failed to get a mention; that's maybe good news.

The only downside seems to be a minor comment on off road engine performance, no major issue, and response at low throttle openings.

More journos testing this week and MCN report, supposedly, tomorrow.

Good report although I didn't think there was much wrong with the handling of the old one!

Hmm. Wonder when the reviewer rode the two back to back to make the comparison.. or perhaps when the reviewer last rode a GS

Oh, that clears that up then.

My accountant is Trevor Wallace by the way.

Scratch that. I've had a root around the internet. I've deduced he's not the Sociology Professor at Lancaster Uni. I found this.

http://jonurry.com/

So from that, I've concluded he can do a wheelie and has got an e-mail address :D

It was written by Jon Urry.

He is seasoned Journo , I did the E Scooter launch with him in the summer , we rode GS Adventures in black all week escorting foreign journalists out to Hever Castle during the Olympics , and yes he is a big fan of the GS series :thumb2

IIRC he had a GSA as a 'long termer', in jorno terms.

He liked it a lot.

Anyway, why anyone is surprised the handling is improved on the new bike, its not supposed to get worse….

I wonder if the 1150 owners will whinge about this new GS like they did about the first 1200 or have they all quietly 'up-graded' in the last 10 years or so?

We did, didn't like them and returned to the superior 1150's:augie
