All,
See attached flyer for a Charity Night at Paparocks in Aviemore, a group of local bikers will be doing a fundraising tour visiting the 27 Diageo distilleries in Scotland over three days (including the islands) 8-10th April. This will be followed by the Aviemore event on the 20th April. There will be entertainment from 1200 to 0100, whisky tasting, live band and disco, entry is free, but we hope you will take part in some of the raffle events to help raise some cash. If you wish to donate a just giving page will be up and running soon (details to follow).
The cause is: Highland Disability Sports and we hope to raise as much as possible to sponsor as many athletes as we can to attend and participate in the Special Olympics. There is no official sponsorship for this (unlike the olympics and para-olympics) in order for a team to travel to the venue and participate, each athlete has to raise sufficient funds for themselves plus a carer (currently £500 each).
If your in the area or fancy a run up, there is ample accommodation available in the town, why not make a weekend of it and tour the highlands.
