Thoughts on the april magazine test showing lockstop on the frame being snapped off by a tankslapper !!!!!

Probably waiting for owners reports rather than journos thrashing the nuts off a test machine...

Yeah, mines like a bucking bronco:rolleyes: I'm taking it back tomorrow, this bike is dangerous I tell you:rob

NOT:D

Ah just wait till you hit the sand dunes - you'll be sorry then :rob

a semi active suspension glitch could cause a massive tank slapper as described in bike.
wait for a software update in the coming months:rob

I made the decision a few weeks ago to stop buying Bike Magazine and Motorcycle News and spend the money on a subscription to MAG instead.

(I have an annual subscription to Ride magazine and keep up to date in a rather more grown up way reading that)

Some publications (including many of our national newspapers) seem to specialise in printing what they think their readers want to read. In the bike mags this seems to be anti BMW twaddle

Well of course they are right, which is why BMW sell hardly any bikes and if you go European touring over the summer there's not a BMW to be seen.

NOT!

BIKE

Yes I guess Bike magazine won't be getting to many free loan BMW's in the near future after the water cooled launch write up.?

Reminds me a bit like Clarkson and the Vectra.!

I stopped reading bike magazines years ago as they're full of shite.

Bike magazine decided the KTM 950 was the 'cool' alternative when it came out and haven't looked back.

It had got to the point I only read MCN for KA for his technical insights and his points to argue on.

Cancelled my subscription now of MCN as it seems to be a vehicle for Triumph merchandise and Multistradas in between the adverts.

Ah, would that be the same Clarkson who said the Fiat Multipla was simply too wide to be useable - and then bought a GT40, and spent another decade proclaiming the Range Rover as the best car in the world.

Or would that be the Clarkson who proclaimed the thrill of the overtake when you didn't know you were going to make it but luckily the oncoming car took to the ditch.....

(Ignore me, I got hit head on today. Well, the GS I was sitting on did. I wish I had been sitting in my Multipla - narrower than a Focus, shorter than a Polo, but fecking more protective than a GS).

Nuver dig

Latest issue in specs at back say

"Only four starts till instability issue is resolved"

Been buying Bike since first issue, really!

I will not renew subs, might even get Ride instead..
