Got mine yesterday

Nice and solid pieces of kit. Hopefully I won't require them.

Thanks Civil.

Finally had time to install them.

WELL LUKE

A little expensive for the damage done to it !

WELL LUKE ITS ALL RELITAVE AS MR CIVIL WOULD SAY HIMSELF.
POSSIBLY EXPENSIVE FOR YOU WITH PLENTY OF TIME ONLY PISSING ABOUT THE CAPITAL, BUT FOR THE MORE ADVENTUROUS TYPES THE COST COULD BE MINISCULE INDEED,. INDEED THAT IS TO THE COST ON TOUR OF A LENGTHY UNPLANNED STOP AFTER DROPPING THE CYCLE AND CRACKING THE ROCKER COVER, NOT TO MENTION THE INCONVENIENCE OF A SENARIO THAT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED WITH A LITTLE INSURANCE FROM STAUNTON.

Very good point.

Anyone know if they fit with the Wunderlich engine-bars?
I ask because the offset of the cylinders means that while the O/S head has plenty of space, the N/S one is very close to the bar.

I know it would probably be easier to change the bars but I like the Wunderlich ones (they provide a good mounting point for my lower set of driving lights) and I just fancied the Staunton gaurds as well.

O Knowledgeable one

Hi Al
They are designed with ease of fitment and compatability
in mind.
Should you decide to buy a set and find that they dont fit
or that you are not happy with them.
I have no problem in giving you a full Refund !
Provided you have,nt tried em down the road apiece !

Holy shit civil. Thats some margin you are taking on the stanton guards . According to the stanton web site they are $199.95 dollars a pair retail, this is equal to 155 euro. Can I reclaim the vat on them ?

Costin !

I wish !
when i initially started sellin these i got so much flack about the
price , i put the costings on the board.
I had to pay for transport, Vat , {which is paid}import duty ,
handling fees at Dublin airport.And a 2% commission ?.
So all in all , , unfortunately i am not making !

Photo,s do these wee items absolutely no justice , when you
have the Guards in your hand they feel like what they are :
A Quality bit of Kit !.

'ello Civil...

It's been a while.

thought I'd drop in my two pennies worth. I've had the stanton guards on for 2 years and to date we've not been able to break em'.

I can't begin to count the amount of times my bikes been on it's side, and these things have stood up well.

Mounting is easy (ooh er') and the rubber lineing ensures they don't scratch what they're protecting.

Thought I'd post a piccy of the stanton gaurds being guarded...This is in Senegal at Lac Rose during the last stage of the 2004 Paris-Dakar.

Cheers
