we were lucky

Hi Phil, gosh glad we visited you in june 2011,bit of a wet start, but found the 40c on our day trip to Spain hot enough! Last year was 10 days at the TT very wet camping! :beerjug:

Each year there is an event for cyclists called Montée du Géant, this is to remount the statue on Col du Tourmalet (he spends winter in Tarbes). This was planned to take place next weekend, but due to amount of snow it will not now take place. The road has been ploughed and the walls of snow are impressively high but unstable. It is probable that the Col will not be open for another few weeks.
