Does anybody in the North west know of any Guzzi specialists they can recommend besides Nigel at NBS in Stafford? He is backed up at the mo' and really specialises in the older stuff rather than the current models.

If it's out of warranty why not do it yourself? These bikes are pretty easy for the routine maintenance, I found doing mine and a mates Stelvio as easy as my old GS1150. If it's running ok and you've no fault codes showing it's unlikely you'll need it plugging in to the diagnostics. Manuals available on line via Guzzitech website and I think the Guzzi owners club webpage.

Hi Al,

Engine, gearbox and final drive oil changes I am quite happy to do and like my 1150 I usually do this myself inbetween services as well as oil really isn't that expensive. I did the fuel filter inside the tank last year . Brake pads i'm happy to do too (piece of piss obviously), and i've been known to change steering head bearings in the past but thats pretty much where it stops for me. I am much happier letting a professional do things like valve clearances, throttle bodies etc and give the bike a once over too for anything I may have missed.

The service warning indicator is on too which I guess would need a pro' to switch off unless there is a fancy sequence of button pressing that'll reset it.

I understand, sorry if my post seemed a bit patronising. Things were so much simpler before all this fancy computer fuel injection stuff.

The only other Guzzi dealer I can think of is the Rocket Centre in Blackburn, theyre ok, and will lend you bike. They let me have a Griso overnight as I took my bike in the day before the service so the valves would be cold, then popped back next afternoon when they rang me. 6000 mile service was about £250ish if my memory serves me right.

Howdo, from what I've read it will need to be hooked up to a machine to balance throttle bodies, it sets TPS voltage or summat.
You can access diagnostics to reset service warning through inputting a code into the dash, it'll be on the net what code yours is, I have the one for the Breva! :thumb2

Don't Millenium at St Helens sell / service them?

No idea if they are any good

Millenium used to sell them, as did their sister company Orrell motorcycle centre. They stopped the Moto Guzzi franchise about two years ago.
