Riders Rally

The 39th Riders Rally starts from the Poulaphouca House Hotel - 6k south of Blessington (County Wicklow) on Friday 2nd August.
Check point opens at 15.00 - 21.00hrs Fri & 8.00 - 10.30hrs on Sat.

Organised by the Dublin Motorcycle Touring Club every year since 1974; a point to point Rally covering approx 1000kms from start to finish.

I am doing the rally this year, for the first time. I have no real idea of what is involved. Anyone else going?

Yes .... did my first one about 30 yrs ago ... one I try not to miss !!!

Secret checkpoint format : Turn up at known location (on DMTC site) , after this you never know where you are going to go (apart from the next checkpoint obviously) ... or in what direction.

Camping as usual ..... :beerjug:

I usually do about 1000 miles door to door ... and not on main roads typically

i really enjoyed it last year but wont make it this year,i have a cancer fund raiser saturday morning and a christning saturday afternoon (that will be fun)
and another charity run on the sunday (if i am able)
