I am sad to report that husband, father, biker, friend to bikers and dear friend Jeff Powers died in a motorcycle accident yesterday, Tuesday November 5th, near his home in Tarapoto, northern Peru. No further details are available or necessary.
Jeff was known to members of this forum and the wider biking communities through his bar the famous Norton Rats Tavern in Cusco, Peru and more recently his hotel and camp ground near Tarapoto. Jeff toured South America and Europe extensively on a variety of bikes including two Norton 850 Comandos. He leaves behind his wife Yahira, daughter Katie and son Colin.
He will be remembered with great affection and respect.
