Wales / Lake district - Tips please

I am planning a trip over Easter towards the Lakes District or Wales - depending what happens here

Me - being a newbie to the GS routes in the UK need some friendly help.
I you know of any recommended routes / places to visit during a 4 day trip in and around the Lakes district or Wales please share those with us. We are planning to camp and would like to reccy out for some GS fun into the unknown.

Not off road but -

The Bwylch-y-groes (probably a wrong spelling) pass to Lake Bala's southern end is good on a GS.

I'd give the Lake District a miss at Easter... from my previous experiences, all the "Sunday Drivers" in the country will be clogging up the roads with their inimitable driving style!
