For those wanting to attach their RAM U-bolt mount onto the cross bar, then here's how.

This Black adaptor shim (RAP-319) fits inside a U-Bolt to allow the mount to be attached onto a rail or a bike crossbar, where the rail or bar diameter is 1/2" to 3/4"

RAP-319 can be used with RAM-B-231Z or with these handlebar mount kits, RAM-B-149ZA, RAM-B-149Z or RAM-B-149.

Here's a pic of Dodgey Dick's BMW R850R who saw RAM-man recently.

Dick wanted to mount his Quest above the clocks, so used the RAM-B-149Z U-bolt mount and RAM cradle RAM-HOL-GA15 plus the RAP-319 shim adaptor which enabled him to attach onto the windshield support arm.
