Decided to modify my 690R this is going to include gearbox internals.

Not at home presently so I cannot look myself.

Does the engine split vertically or horizontally. I am hoping horizontally as less engine dismantling.

Also any opinions on tubes tyre conversions. I am not sure this is a good or bad thing to do.

Already done some extensive changes but also expecting to add Rally Raid Adventure setup.

I'd have thought that tubeless was a good idea but then I'm not a serious or experienced off roader. They always worked well enough on my 1150 and you don't normally get rapid decompression from punctures.

Finally sorted the gearbox on my 690R

With standard front and rear sprockets get

1st gear. 12mph at 4000 rpm. Gear lowered by 16%

6th great 65mph at 4000 rpm. Gear raised by 9%
