puncture resitant foam filler

My dealer has offered to inject a foam type filler into a new tyre to prevent punctures. it sounds like a good idea assuming it doesnt affect handling. But a mate mentioned he'd heard there can be problems when they get hot including tyre distortion. has anybody got any experience of this type of product. ?

It depends what the stuff is really.

I used Ultraseal before going to the Stella Alpina last year, with no adverse effects (two up,luggage, prolonged high speed).
In fact,it actually improved matters,as prior to installing it,I was getting a front wheel 'shimmy' and vibration, which totally vanished afterwards.

You`re best off doing a forum search really,as there was a geat deal of debate on the matter.

Personally,I wouldn`t be without Ultraseal,but I haven`t used anything else.

I've used Ultraseal too, and the only adverse effect was the wasted 25 quid when it failed to seal my puncture!

I know it's worked for many people though, so I was probably just unlucky.
