Is it possible to get basecamp to display the map detail it something approaching what you get in the Michelin/OS/IGN maps?

I ask as I would find it easier when choosing a route to get some differentiation between the equivalent of A-roads, B-roads, Yellows and Whites.

Have looked, but cannot see anything to improve how the map detail is displayed on the screen

Not as far as I know.

I've got used to looking at the denominations of the roads and their general shape / size. A final look in Google Earth or in Streetview (where I have been known to look at signposts) to confirm and all is well.

I also sometimes open the Michelin map app on my iPad or laptop in parallel, too.

This is what i have been doing when recently planning a couple of circular routes for an upcoming Picos trip

I connect the Montana 600 with Discoverer OS 50k maps which I can then open and use in Basecamp.
