Moving Maps from PC to Mac

My internet is incredibly slow but my mum's is super fast. However, mum only has a PC so I can update my Nav 5 but not my Mac for use with Basecamp. The published method for moving maps from PC to Mac does not seem to work anymore. Anyone have any idea of the best method for moving the new downloaded map file from the PC to my Mac.

My Mac is fixed to the wall - hence another option disappears!

I've used Javawa's GMTK to copy maps from one PC to another. As there's also a Mac version it might be worth a try. Get it from http://www.javawa.nl/anderstalig.html

As above from bear, Dowload and use JaVaWa GMTK program on your windows and Mac computer and use the backup and restore function using a usb stick or external hdd.

Thanks all - will try the Javawa route as the Garmin advice no longer works for me - used to but no longer - no idea why! Hopefully, we will get Superfast next year and my life will be easier. 25-30 hrs for a map update is no joke!
