opinions please

hi im looking for opinions but i know each to his own
im looking for a trail woods bike i own a xr250
but want bigger /better im thinking of a ktm450 exc
but cannot get concrete info on servicing etc
as im able to ride the honda for 30 hours+
and then CHANGE THE OIL FILTERS
im looking for something similar ie i dont want to spend more time serviceing the bike than riding it
i wont be racing it but will be using it primilary for woodlands
mostly tight but quick
any help opinions greatly appreciated
also yes i know theres dedicated sites
and have asked the question there but
most are racers and the answers not conclusive

I was playing with a Honda CRF450 the other day.....loved it!

Have you tried a CRF250x. Considerable difference to an XR, but not as labour intensive as a KTM. Plenty of people swear by DRZ's, but they leave me cold. The Euro bikes perform so much better, but they can be costly in time, and money if they are allowed to run out of tolerance. That said I have mates who treat theirs like field bikes and they seem to get away with it!
My CRF gets an oil change quite regularly, but that's about it. Previous bike was a Husaberg, phenomenal bike, but too much spannering.
