Pannier widths

Sorry if this is an old one, I've searched the BB without success.

I'd like to know the width of the BMW panniers when fitted to an 1150GS. Not in overall terms but expressed as something along the lines of

'x inches wider/narrower than . . '

with respect to cylinder heads and bar ends.

If you're going in a straight line. However, the GS height means the widest bits seem to be at bumper height so beware when filtering. You can, of course, get city lids that are a few inches narrower I think.

Standard BWM 1150GS panniers (plastic) 98cm
ALU BMW 1150GS Adv. panniers 112cm
Touratech special 1150GS set: 90cm
Jesse Luggage Odyssey: 84cm

Ahem,Vern's panniers are as wide or as narrow as you want them. Unlike all the others,YOU choose how wide/long or tall you want them.Any colour you want as well (please note that tartan is F*^%ing expensive,but if that's your choice).Fancy only offering one size,I would have to hang my head in shame if I done that.
