Ignition Switch

I've got a 2001 1150GS, with an intermittent contact problem in the ignition switch.
The sidelight, and hence the rear light, functions depending on the wiggle factor of the switch wiring loom.
The question is,
I've found switch looms listed on sites, and in the BMW manual it implies that you just remove a screw and the electrical portion disengages from the lok.
Is it really that simple?
Thanks in anticipation
Adrian

Blimey Steptoe, if thats your sales pitch!!!
Did you go to the Gengis Khan school of customer satisfaction?
Thanks for the info, I had done a search for ignition switch, and trawled through about 30 threads before giving up, cos I was looking for a switch, not a barrel!
Now I've just got to get at it.
Thanks
Adrian.
