Anyone know if it is possible to save the track log from the 2610 to a small portable device like a PDA (pocket PC) or similar so that the log isn't lost / overwritten by the next day's riding (I have tried seaching this subject ;) )

cheers

Kev

Not that I am aware of. The only way I know of saving a track log is to download it to a PC using the MapSource application.

What I have done sometimes in the past is to turn the track log recording feature off, so that an interesting log - one that I want to save - is not later overwritten by uninteresting stuff. This preserves the log until I can download it to a PC.

Thanks for the reply Michael,
- Looks like selectively switching the track log on & off is the way then,

Can you not set the track log 'breadcrumbs' to a sensible distance apart to record a great distance like on the Quest??

You can get several thousand miles on the quest if you set it right without losing track of where you went.

Unfortunately I don't think you can adjust the "breadcrumb distance" on the 2610, Fanum - although I would be pleased to hear that I'm wrong on that one.............
