Useful stuff

Can't vouch for the above stuff. But at work I haved used Devcon aluminium putty for years. Brilliant stuff. Even drilled and tapped a G1/8" thread for a grease nipple successfully. Lent it to someone who slapped it over their leaking hot water tank, lasted another 4 years. Not cheap, might be £30 for half a kilo. Looks vaguely aluminium when filed/ machined.
