Dakar - looks like Charlie's struggling today

Yup - he's been stuck at CP2 since just after noon. Was making fair time until that point, hope he hasn't burnt out as it will be a short series if he has :)

Oh dear........

I think the tracking site is a bit unreliable. Somehow I can't see Simon and Matt going off and leaving him behind.

Odd, just replayed the stage and it shows him here now?..............

He went through a worm hole in the space time continuum. Dur.
:hapybnce: I think you have been spending too much time playing with your flux capacitor :D

He appears to be riding with Patsy Quick and Clive Town and Simon Pavey. Anyways it's looking good according to the site..long stage today. :bow

Can anyone else get the overall standings to work? It appears to have been down for a few days. I'd love to know where they all are in the grand scheme.

Not looking good according to tracking, Pavey and Hall have gone on, Charlie still at end of special stage. Looks like they will only manage a 4 DVD box set out of this one.

Todays standings show him finishing:-

145 173 HALL (UK) BMW 06:52:02 02:39:01
151 174 PAVEY (AUS) BMW 06:55:45 02:42:44
154 172 BOORMAN (UK) BMW 06:56:00 02:42:59
All 3 are 2hrs 40 off the pace, but only a little slower than say:-

92 181 PLUMB (UK) BMW 06:17:41 02:04:40

Roll on 9:30 then... probably not be any news.

By all accounts he took a tumble, which resulted in a broken hand. Check out the diary page on the "Road to Dakar" web site for more details.

Brave attempt for a first timer.
