There I was in SLM's Caterham spending a conservative £15 on a carbon fibre yoke protector, when I noticed the "new" BMW GPS system behind the counter, rocking horse poo, apparently, and expensive shit at that. When lo and behold, a chap with obviously no regard for his credit card, comes in, takes a look and buys the thing. We had a quick chat in the car park whilst the lads in the workshop fitted the mounting bracket to his handlebars (4 screws I believe). Now I understand the purpose of that extra power socket on the Adventurer.
It looked good and one day when I grow up I may just buy one, but £1250.00 buys a lot of pies.
Heres a thought if you are going to buy one, SLM do 5% discount to their club members, it costs £15 to join, you could still save about £50. But then again if you can afford it, whats £50.
