can anyone suggest where i can get old type bike boots from :ie gold tops that sort of thing, why ,dont like short sports boots

I don't know whether this is the kind of boot you're looking for, but I bought these a while ago, from Hein-Gericke for 210 euro (in Belgium).

They are good value for money, waterproof (GoreTex), strong, sturdy protectors...

You might like something from the Altberg range, especially if you want to avoid the hero blobs or something that might otherwise belong to a Stormtrooper.

BTW Goldtops can still be purchased from www.silvermans.co.uk if they still tickle your fancy, my money's on Altbergs though
