TomTom Rider help please for a chum

Friend of mine has one- and with a problem.
TomTom rider will not charge when on the bike.
1- Unit has been reset- no difference
2- Lead checked and power at plug & on pins OK
3- Battery will charge when on mains OK
4- I noticed that menu option 'Cradle options' is greyed out
5- unti has latest software too - still no luck

anyone with any advice I can pass on?

Bert, not sure about point 4, do we assume your friend have problems fitting TT Rider to the bike ?? If so and depending the bike and mount set up, the trick is to use a RAM two hole diamond base across one set of diagonal holes on the TT Rider cradle, existing M3 screws should be OK. If you need more help then let me know.

The problem is not with the mount but the unit- Dutch tells me he had same problem and to return the unit.
Can't say I'm impressed with those tomtom.....
Strictly a Garmin 276C and 60CS man myself ( always with my Silva compass too which never needs an update!)
