The Lads who normally stop in the Sommeiller hotel for its charm and old fashioned looks are in for some what of a surprise this year.
Just returned from tour of the alps and stopped in Sommeiller for a night to prevent getting withdrawal symptoms (as I am missing the Stella this year).
I was shock to see 1. Its painted and a new sign 2. The car park covered in new gravel (its deep, like your first taste of off road) 3. A lift to the left of the reception desk 4. All of the corridors modernised, lowered ceilings recessed lighting. I thought I was in the wrong hotel when the lift door opened.
Don’t worry too much breakfast will remind you that you are still indeed at the Sommeiller.
Oh and that bar through the subway on the corner, bottom of main street has been closed down by the police.
