I don't care what anyone says,if you get the right weather, parts of Scotland and Wales are as good as anywhere else in the world.

Top piccies. Were you canoeing about the coast,or was that a day out?

We spent 4 days paddlin. Two round the summer isles with a wild camp, then 2 round Applross and Crowlin Islands staying in at Uags bothy.

Oh how its a distant memory now.

Thats the way to travel eh? I really like the idea of a kayak around the west coast. It's been quite a few years since i sat in one so may be rusty but reckon it's got to be the way to travel.

I saw an article in the Austrailian National Geographic magazine a couple of months ago, about a couple of blokes who were trying to cross St Catherines Island on foot/by canoe.A sledge was no good to drag,so they made some ally canoes on wheels to drag. They are on huge great wheels, for ease over the snow and ice,and when you put them in the water, the big wheels fold up out of the way,and act as stabilizers.Brilliant bit of kit.

Anyway, that got me thinking!!How about one to drag behind the bike

I'll see if I can dig the article out from the depths this weekend :thumb
