Power on the bike

Any one know if youi can use something like this on the bike from the power output, just for charging the laptop/ psp/ phone on the travels?

In theory, yes. However, that particular one is about 1/2 Amp and probably wouldn't be up to the job.

I'd suggest you do a search for a laptop PSU that has both 240V AC and 12V DC inputs. They are available, they're certainly not going to be as cheap as a wee inverter, but they're much lighter and less bulky as you're not actually carrying anything extra.

Why bother? Why not just use an adapter for the normal 12v outlet? If you need more than one then just buy a £10 adapter.. Seems to me the inverter solution adds a lot of weight, complication and space, IMHO of course.
