hiya, im just in the process of stripping the back end off my '96 1100, in order to re spray the rear frame section.
There are two connectors(Proper BWM ones, which look original) One has three wires Brown/green,Brown/Blue and Brown/Black.
The other is similar to the connector that clips onto the Air filter housing,ie with the little metal locking tab and these Green/White and Green/Blue.
Anyone got any idea what they are for?
Not causing any problem , but just curious to know
Cheers Dazco

Don't know for sure on the 1100 but it sounds like the connections for the American market only charcoal cannister.

:)

could you try and be a bit faster next time , i had to wait 4 minutes lol Cheers matey, ill get back to sanding the paint off now :) :thumb

The blue connector, with three wires, is the diagnostic connector for the Motronic and ABS. You can read the diagnostic fault codes on the 1100 using an analogue meter.

Robs right on the 3 pin connector -

The other connector sounds like it's the CO pot connector, which lots of bikes don't have fitted.

thanks for that, just found connector in cymer manual wiring diagram(eventualy) and it is for the diagnostics , cheers anyway :)
