Garmin Track to Route conversion

Anyone of you superbright people know how I can convert a couple of tracks I've been sent to a single route which I can edit. I'm sure it must be possible, I tried seaching the forum to no avail

The concensus from the other thread is "it can't be done"

HOWEVER....

Apparently this utility will do what you want - possibly!

I just played with my unregestered copy of gpsutility and it does seem to have the facilities to do the conversion...

But since my version is unregistered, I can't load a decent sized track into it, nor can I write a decent sized route from it...

One would need to register the software to give it a proper test I think...

If it were me, I'd just zoom in in Mapsource to a reasonable distance, and click my way along a track with the route tool...

Umm - just a thoiught -
If you save it in .GPX format then open it with a word processor .. then change the head descriptor from one to the other ? would that not work? Try it with a simple route and track example and see what they look like in the word proccesor.
