How does the HP2 stand up in competition?[/QUOTE]

I have not raced it in an actual race. But when we go out to the track, we typically do a gate start just like in motocross. The smaller bikes get a quicker jump out of the gate, but I catch them half way down the line. My cornering speed is slower compared to the other riders in my class. I also own a 2006 YZ450f so I have my choice of bikes to ride. I haven't ridden my YZ in 2 months. I have so much more fun on my HP2, it tracks a straight line, even in the roughest tracks, off the larger jumps it handles the flying and landing without any problems. Now there's no way I can do the same lap times on this compared to my YZ, I'm definitely slower on my HP2, But I have so much fun ridding it, and the crowd that gathers is always a neat thing too.

Red Dog @ ADV Rider asked about my fork set up because his bike feels soft in the front. I ordered a set of progressive front springs from these guy's

I also replaced my fork oil with a Motul-Heavy 20w fork oil. With the springs out and the oil level 2 3/4'' from the top tube. Those 2 items made a world of difference.

How high is that HP2?

The dark spot is the landing of thr first jump, the light spot is the takeoff of the 2nd jump. There are a couple more photos on ADVRider, see link below. Pages 2 and 3 have the photos,
