how easy from lisbon to estoril via public transport or would you hire a crap car for coupla days - portugeezer drivers dont scare me been driving in ireland and loondon for 15 years lol

thanks

We hired a little car when we went to boom festival and it was really quite cheap about £110 for 8 days and although booked a car without aircon cheapest option, we found out they all had air con.

Booked through Ryanair who we flew with.

Roads signs tend to be almost after the juntion and very wierd turnings so be careful with lots of tolls but they are very cheap. Didn't try public transport although a few others at the festival used it and said it was quite good.

People are amazingly friendly and so many spoke English as well so you should not have a problem.

We loved Portugal and will deffinately go again nice place and nice people.

Rode down to this GP a couple of years ago.

We stayed in Cascais. It is only a 20mins up the road, nice coastal resort, nice beach and far enough away to be out of the GP rat race. Cascais is connected to Estoril via train (same train goes onto Lisbon) or taxi.

The GP itself is a cracking event. It is worth noting the vast majority of spectating is a free for all so get in early, the other thing worth noting is that there is very little shade. If you get a hot day it is almost unbearable. Take lots of water and an umbrella!

Hope you enjoy the trip.

Cheers

It's a dreadful spectators circuit. Go to Vanencia instead which is miles better!

But if you go, consider Sintra for staying - it's far nicer then Cascais which gets packed for GP weekend - cheaper too and no further from the circuit!
