Which Compact Flash Card?

Having bitten the bullet and coughed up for a sub £200 Garmin 2610, (thanks to the Bargain Forum on here

), I'd like recommendations for the optimum size of Compact Flash card to use in it. Ideally, I would like to have UK, France, Switzerland and Italy, at least, on it. Crucial do Compact Flash cards up to 4Gb in size, but do I honestly need one this size?

It depends on how far you travel but the unit can only go up to a 2gb card so get one of those and you can send all the maps onto it and leave it until you fancy updating your maps.

Just get a 2G from here for £17.99.

It will hold the whole of Europe.

i have 2 gb card covering whole of europe.fantsicoooo in my 2610 ive been all over eu.why bother with smaller card only to find you want to go farther distance sometime in the future.

ps as per mannny fagnet,£17.99 for a 2gb card cheep as chips.

pps my 2gb card was loaded by garmin.you will not need 4gb you'l just waste your money.

got one from here, took 2 days to arrive just waiting for the gps to arrive
