bought the Mrs a Serow and its starting to cost me money.

New Battery £35
To fit 2 tyres off my Honda £20
Find a earth wire problem £60
Now its just been taken away, gears not working, also needs a new and a chain and sprocket.

Seem to be pushing the thing more than riding it, HONDA 230 looking good !

£147 chain sprocks etc

Dude, it's costing you because your paying it.
Where TF did you get this price from?
Make some calls, to the likes of M&P or Racespec or In-chains, etc.
A full sprocket kit for my DRZ was £58 from M&P only last month.
The only reason I can see why your having trouble sourcing spares in because it is a grey import.
UKGSers, TAKE NOT IF YOUR READING THIS AND YOUR LOOKING TO BUY A TRAILBIKE. STEER CLEAR OF GREY IMPORTS, UK BIKES ONLY. Trust me!
Anyway, have an enquire at JT Sprockets website, you should be able to get a JT part number, fire that over to M&P and they should be asble to cross reference the sprocket. I wouldn't be suprised if fits the likes of a TTR or XT250, etc.
I'll have a look myself also later this evening and PM you any findings.
Timpo.

OK, I hope this helps.
Call M&P now and fire the sprocket numbers to them.

428 chain?

Only a 428 chain, not 520?
Make sure you check that.
You maybe able to do an upgrade using JT's tables.
