Bilbao - Burgos - Valladolid - Salamanca - Cuidad Rodrigo - Guarda - Castelo Branco - Abrantes - Lisbon.
It's high-quality motorway all the way and about 550 miles. We did it in one day last year, starting from Bilbao at 0830.

We stayed in the Ibis José Malhoa (GPS N38 44.191 W9 09.707) purely for the ease of booking. Go to accorhotels.com and then search for Lisboa.
The Dakar start area in Belém is at N38 41.806 W9 12.380

Our group of four is going straight to Morocco, not stopping in Lisbon. I think Jollyjoiner and friend are going to Lisbon, though.
