I've installed Parallels on an Intel MacBook and have loaded Windoze XP. Mapsource runs fine and when I plug in my Quest 2 the virtual PC recognises and mounts it.
When I try to see it in Mapsorce or Web Updater the software can't find the GPS.

Does anyone have any ideas?

You're not alone - check out the Parallels forum :(

I've got a Quest & a 2610, and run Parallels. Mapsource recognises the 2610, but not the Quest. Boot Camp, I understand, may well work with a Quest.

Sorry :nenau

I,v just bought parallels for this purpose hopefully it will see my 2610, is it true that you can run any version of windows and it doesent need to be the legal one ie I can get a copy off a mate who runs a PC and run it through Parallels?

There's a new Beta of Parallels out, as I've been parallels for 'production' on my macbook, I can't easily test out this to see if it's been fixed in the beta.

One day when I get the time I'll run up windbg and see what the devnode differences are between a native xp and the one under parallels looks like that's stopped it from being seen.
