A little experiment on my part. As we hear so many stories and complaints I was wondering whether we could create the "Virtual" perfect dealership? Now B..W are better than any other brand I have used BUT:

List your sensible ideas below (no free bikes are not likely)

I'll start:

Approachable, well informed and service orientated staff
An active interest in after sales service

who's next.......

Service

Mechanics or Service manager who are happy to explain to me what is/was wrong and how they will/have fixed it while keeping to a reasonable budget close to what they estimated before they started.

On this count SLM have been quite good.

The Other Tim

Customer service
keeping me informed at all times on things that need doing

keeping my old parts for me to check and for them to explain why the parts have been replaced.

Update on new products as and when

Dealership to honest
If the books says the service takes 1 hour and the dealership
completes service in 1/2 hour then only bill out for 1/2 an hour
only bill me for part oil used and not a full bottle

after service

Dealership loyalty discount on all services and items
