I'm having some issues with my Quest. When I connect it to the PC to transfer maps, it doesn't recognise the device is there. I am using a normal USB cable. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Plug it into another USB port Bob...that usually works 
Have you installed the USB drivers?

yep go on garmin website to downloads and install the drivers, worked on my 2610
Yes, the drivers were installed when I first got the unit. I'll try another port to see if that makes a difference Bill

I had a problem with my Quest 1 in that the laptop didn't see the Quest irrespective of which port it was on. Reloaded Mapsource 6.11.6 and it all worked again.
Well, I tried it this evening, using a different USB port and it worked! So thanks to you all for your suggestions and help.
