mono / para exhaust question

Here's one for the collective, do both the g/s and GS bikes use the same exhaust?

Now not the full system and collector just the end section.

OK Both bikes can be fitted with a Sito exhaust so is it a case of different fixed mounts on each version? Mono uses a single mount, para seems to use 2 from what I can see.

The length of the tail pipe section is different between the Mono and Para. The Sito just ignores this and you get what you get.

I think the Para rear silencer has an extra 'rubber bush mount thing' fixed to a little right angled bracket close to the tail pipe and this is not present on the g/s. Not so many OE systems around now

the para rear silencer is bigger (and heavier) than the mono one

The 2nd one (count third if you count the bottom mount at the footpeg) on my para is just a rubber to support the frame. So yeah I also think it is only the length. oh and the mounting for the side cover too.

Was the question - would they interchange , or could the be made to fit.

The G/S has a different sub frame to the GS so it is unlikely they would bolt straight up.

However, if you were able to unbolt the brackets it wouldn't be much of a job to make something that would fit.

My G/S Staintune muffler fits my old OEM GS collector so I don't think there would be a problem at that point.

My Laser ProDuro is definately better than the BMW version .... just my 2d worth as it sounds ten times more of a motorbike than the standard silencer

Recommended if you want something different :thumb2
