Great weekend (from what I can remember )

This was the start of the off road run. Something like 24 bikes turned up.

Oonyack and Whatton having the luxury breakfast. Bakerman was amazed that the food was edible in the Midlands.

Unfortunately was unable to make it yesterday due to a "family commitments" that involved my neice getting married.

Am keen to get back into some gentle off-roading after a 30-year break, but where to ride:confused: Am in Burton on Trent so Peak District is reasonably close. Any chance of some details of the route, so that I can give it a try when I have some time?

Would be great to tag along with some others but work commitments mean last minute "changes of plan" are more frequent than I would like

Thanks

Dave

Had a wonderful time, thank you for those that organised the off-road ride. Perhaps just as well we split into two groups as there where quite a few of us.

... and a big thanks for the chaps that hauled my bike up off the floor for me when I dropped poor 'Duchess', not once but twice .... ooops

I was just sorry I had to leave the group part way through the ride, my back wouldnt take anymore abuse after 3 or 4 hours, but I had fun, thoroughly enjoyed myself and would love to go back to finish the trail one day in the future.

Once again, big thanks to all .... to those that organised it and for the giggles along the way. You're all a good bunch to ride with .... Great fun.

Thanks MickDB1 and team.

I was on the Red 1100

That was my first go off road on any motorbike - might of been a doddle for some but it was just the right mix for me.

Really enjoyed it and by the end felt well chuffed I'd had a go.

Layed it down halfway up that stoney bank - did no one get a pic?

A big thanks to my entourage who helped pick it up and saw me safely to the top. Sorry, didn't get your names which I should have done.

There were some smooth looking riders:bow

No worries

Don't worry about dropping it Squid, everyone does the first time - as for picking it up, me and Spout needed a rest half way up anyway :)

see you next time.
