Dont worry too much AndyT, its simply because I booked it via email to them quoting the UKGSer weekend that I had the email back to confirm rather than phoning them thats all, they said booked and simply pay on arrival when we check in :thumb2

Thanks for that:) They took my card details at the time so I'm confident its all okay...phew. Now to check my new work rota:augie

AndyT:cool:

Fawlty Towers...camped here when i was down at the grauniad fest earlier this year. My leaky tent was last seen still pitched there:augie. It was £5 a night use of swimming pool and sauna. The rooms were all strangely porno themed...I was told that at one time it was a favourite for rich businessmen to either bring their boyfriends from London for the weekend or enjoy the laid on stress relief!
Great walking and uphill cycling...2hrs to get to the top of the valley 30mins to get back..Johnypebs bike for those who remember.

Right then, since I have never ever been campin before in my entire life and this Wales trip will be my first where do I start with equipment?
Ok I have the tent but may get new as nick reckons not big enough and the stove thingy, brand new never been used, oh and 2 good bikes to get us there but what else would you recommend we bring along apart from the obvious like sleepin bags and toothbrush, will I be able to plug in my hairdryer to dry my hair and such like ....dont laugh :augie

Best asking this question in the equipment forum rather than this thread about bookings for the event :thumb2

Wife and I booked in for camping. Hoping her F650Gs will be ready for the w/e.

I am really lookin forward to this event for so many reasons. Never ever been campin in my entire life, never ridden to Wales before or even been there and looking forward to meeting a lot of forum members and putting names to faces at last.
Nick has already started making mental notes of what we will need, ordered a new festival tent package other night off of Ebay, inflatable beds, lamps and other bits all included, all I pray for now is that the weather is kind to us.

Do you need to book if your camping or just turn up?

From the evidence of the rest of the thread it might be wiser just to give them a phone and make a booking - in name only, because no cash has changed hands and no bank details were asked for. but you'll need to read the rest of the thread to get the phone numbers....:blast:nenau
