    BMW R650 LS 1982 model

Great thread this. Love the old Boxers.

    Here is my contribution:

    Best bike I've ever owned.

Bought it with 16,000 kms in 1994.
As of yesterday, almost 400,000 kms.

My mates call it the Road Warrior or the Mad Max bike, or the Bismarck.
Been down more dirt roads than most of my trail bikes.
Still got the same rings and pistons as the day I bought it.
Hardy ever had to do more than change the oil/plugs/set tappets.
Only recently needed new rear seals.

    Cheers: Jaq.

How about these from a Japanese site

    R65 Twin shock

Makes you look at the Mono R100s in a whole new light

Great to see these bikes getting the attention they deserve. They have been cheap hacks for so long we just take them for granted.

I'm riding the 90/6 most days. It's so smooth and quick but looks a little ragged with the dented tank. I keep changng my mind on what I'm going to do with it.
