Only 118 miles!

Several challenges:

  • I had a puncture before the 'off' ( - many thanks to the Micheldever boys for sorting that out)
  • A couple of other punctures en-route - a Polish 'MasterClass' in big KTM rear tube changing was given!
  • Too many 'whoops' across the Plain - my legs were overly challenged
  • Too much mud on the Plain for Sid

But otherwise a cracking day. Many thanks to Nathan for showing us the way.

Glad you enjoyed it. The ride was never realy intended to be "easy"!

118 miles? was that taken from your gps?

Yes, I stripped off all the chaff from the tracklog - what was left was 118 miles.

BTW - you guys arrived back too soon after the 2nd puncture - I now need to hear the remainder of PinkyTiff's life story - the first bit was quite interesting - especially the bike tour of France!

Did anyone try and take a boxer through that:eek:

No, I think Mav on his HP2 had more sense but may be wrong although he has a snorkel fitted to his air intake, I was first through on the Rallye bike.....not knowing how deep it was:blast

'Fraid not - I was lacking in sense and went through this one too :blast

Thank god for the snorkel, would've been a gonna without it!

Good lad, sorry I missed it with my camera:blast

Nice one. Where did you find that? I could have floated across - at an angle :)
Need to modify my low exhaust though probably.

There were several on this particular route. This is about the only time of year it is even worth considering trying to ride through them. Any other time and the water is deep enough to loose a landrover in...

Horse got his 1200 stuck in these last year :augie:augie

It wasnt really stuck i was testing the grab adhiesive properties of the salisbury plain mud you know, thought about marketing it.:blast
