Now look what you've done...

System Busy

Due to an unusually high volume of traffic, the page you are trying to reach is temporarily unavailable.

What.....? You mean you haven't got it already...

It's been out for at least a couple of weeks now.

You are lucky if you missed the Shut Down bug introduced with 3.80 :thumb

So, dare I dare update from 3.9?
Or wait for 4.2.... 4.3.... 4.4.... :augie :augie :augie

The wife got me a new 660 for xmas, and I am dreading plugging it into t'net as it is working fine at the moment, and I know as soon as I dare, it will go tits up:type

I did the 4.1 upgrade tonight to see if it would fix my pairing issue.
It went on ok but no change to my problemette

I take it's this is with devices with which the 660 should pair? If so, I'd imagine that backing up your data and doing a hard reset should fix the problem.

Just reinstalled 3.9 after finding 4.1 caused no end of problems pairing with headsets, wouldn't pair after update with my samsung headset or Intaride intercom, paired fine with iphone though. Reinstalled 3.9 and all is well in the world again :D

What a kerfuffle!!!

After reading the previous threads about problems with uploads, I had left mine at original as it was working fine.
Then curiosity got the better of me and I uploaded 4:10.
First, couldn't pair my iphone, read through the remedies on the site and eventually got it done.:(
Second, It kept switching off, off the bike or on it.:(:(
Did a restore and tried to upload software again, but it was telling me the system was up to date.:(:(:(
Eventually once it had found satellites it has settled down and appearsto be working.

Will have to road test to ensure the update is ok.

Well it kept me occupied for a few hours:augie

4.1 last night, "External Power Lost" message today

I knew shouldn't have done it, but last night I gave in and updated to 4.1 (mainly because I had paid for a camera database update and it wouldn't bloody load without doing the firmware update first).

The problem I've got now isn't one I've seen mentioned yet.

Loaded 4.1 last night, then went on a 200 mile round trip in the car today with the Zumo in the powered cradle.
Navigation all works fine and my blue tooth connection still works.

However, all day, every time I did anything to affect the route, such as stopping navigation by pressing the red 'X' button to stop it, or forcing a recalculation by going off route, the first words I hear are "External Power Lost" (but it isn't). It also gives the same message when working from the internal battery without even being put in the power cradle at all.

It's not stopping the thing navigating, but boy is it irritating.

Will try a full reset later and see if that fixes it.

Looks like the update didn't work properly last night, even though it seemed ok with no error messages and the unit reported 4.1 as the installed software afterwards.
I went back to the Garmin site tonight and it was still detecting a software update available. I ran it again and it's saying up-to-date now, so I'll see if that's fixed it.

Aaarrgghh first rules of compooters.
Do not talk about fight club.

No, That's wrong

First rule af compooters
Do not upgrade unless
a) you need to
b) The upgrade has been out for a few months.

Let some other fecker take the grief.
Wait a while and get the real upgrade - not the beta version

I suspect you're updating via the dashboard in My Garmin - correct?

It always lies and tells you that there's an upgrade when there isn't. It's far better to download the Gamin WebUpdater - http://www8.garmin.com/products/webupdater/howtoinstall.jsp and use that to check for and install software updates.

Already reported the update 10 days previously :augie
thanks for that and for all previous reminders - i assume that the software updates you refer to are the ones you acces via garmin - my dashboard

sorry didn't read schtum's post

As above, the dashboard in My Garmin lies, use WebUpdater instead.

Like most users, I've had no problems with 4.1, so don't assume it's a problem with 4.1 in the first instance.

Try a Master Reset, which is proven to solve many update problems.
You may need to search on Master Rest to find the procedure.
