The BEER is ordered...:thumb2
2 x 9 gallon barrels of PISTON from the Beer Engine
Newton St Cyres..
http://www.thebeerengine.co.uk/
Ian [the Brewer] has been at the Engine for 26 years and is reknowned for the quality of his ale  he also likes me and Sid :comfort and will fill our own barrels..:thumb2

Same prices as last year...:D

There will also be some mild :augie applejuice from Sams Cider....:beerjug:
plus wine and soft drinks for the Ladeez :hide
:D:D:D:D

My butcher is suppling all the sausages, bacon for the brekkies and the Beef and Chicken for the Curries :)

All coming together now :bounce1:bounce1

I thought to myself, I'll show that Proff. I'll get a couple of bottles of my locally (Berkshire) made Tutt's Clump cider. Show him how it should be made :)

I spoke to Tim Wale who owns the company who makes it and, if I can get to him, he'll donate a couple of bottles (and I'll add a bottle or two if I can). As the weekend mission is to make money for the charity, to this end, if it is agreeable, I'd like auction these off.

This is no ordinary cider. It may not be Devon/Cornish/Hereford cider but it is very good.

If this idea is not appropriate then it'll go either Proff's glass or into the general alcohol stock. :)

Tutt's Clump.

I had that once, but a course of penicillin soon sorted me out

Progress report>>>

Delivered empty barrels to the Beer Engine yesterday afternoon...
Was welcomed by Ian who stated " I thought it was the bike event that the extra 2 barrels are for"
I was then invited into the brewery to see the start of OUR brew..
The smell was mmmmmmmmmm:drool:drool it takes 7 and a bit days to obtain perfection
I'll be picking the FULL barrels up next Thursday afternoon, just in case any early arrivers want to sample it :beerjug:
I get it "Bright" without finings, as it will all be gone, hopefully :augie by Sun morning :beer:
Bright means it's ready to drink immediately it's tapped :drool
I will also be picking the Cider up on the way from Beer Engine to Sids..
I may need an armed escort with that much good stuff on board ...:mcgun:mcgun
