Look at that

i even sent a truck to match the colour of the bike, sort of camoflaged it, to save embarassment
:hide

I didn't take too many pics this year, can't think why
I arrived at the site Friday afternoon and for the 2nd year running I camped, here's the proof :comfort

008-M.jpg

Elvis was doing his thang.........:JB

010-L.jpg

A busy evening of chatting, eating and drinking ensued and continued with a nightcap or six into the small hours :beerjug::blagblah

This made us (Me Cookie, Dave & Oscar) late for the Saturday road ride-by about half an hour........ :blast

We had the route so set off and we happened upon the group who were not going where we were going :eek
Maybe this was why..........
002-M.jpg

Darkhorse lead the charge and we all wobbled our way across, it was deeper than anticipated and the base was loose and stony, fair play to Cookie for taking his 5 day/ 200 mile old Yellow GSA across :clap

001-XL.jpg

Bikes drip drying after the crossing we waited for the rest of the group (who were now behind us) and thought we would get some pics of the mayhem as they crossed.........

004-M.jpg

We waited and waited

There was a nice cottage nearby..........

003-M.jpg

We waited some more...........we concluded they had bottled it so we set off in search of refreshments and happened upon the group at a local hostelry, they were leaving soon after we had arrived so, suitably refreshed we set off and enjoyed some great riding before ending up at the ferry crossing, guess who was there :D

006-L.jpg

We re-grouped for the crossing and then promptly split again (we went to Swanage for lunch)

Ferry arriving.......

005-L.jpg

On board the boat......

007-L.jpg

After a leisurely late lunch stop we headed for cookie's to pick up Angie and then headed back to the Hograost site in Andover where a long and orderly queue formed.......

012-L.jpg

Lots more chatting, drinking, putting the world to rights etc.

011-M.jpg

Followed by the Blues Brothers.......

013-L.jpg

Who were rather good :clap

018-M.jpg

015-L.jpg

019-L.jpg

Then it was stories around the fire, Dean Martin music on Bakerman's van stereo etc.

016-L.jpg

I can't remember much after that but I seem to have arrived home safely and I'm sure I had a good time, well done to all who attended and Steve and family and team of slaves, until the next time :thumb2

Dont listen to him... there's no way the driver would have risked carrying a GS that far back, he's have wheelied the truck all the way home!!!

When he drove past us on site,i thought to myself " why so far back ".
It was up/down and that was on grass at low speed. :nenau

Graham :blast
You had the chance to push Gasbag off that wall and drowned him, nobody would miss him :augie

Sorry Two Wheel Humvee...

we would get some pics of the mayhem as they crossed.........

We waited and waited

After I'd plotted the route, I realised that one of the reasons peeps might want to go on a Road Ride is to avoid things like, er, fords? So I cut it out.

Never thought there'd be another group of Riders doing the route. Never mind, it all turned out nice in the end eh?

Just pulling your leg Martyn ;)
It was our intention to join you initially, our fault we missed the off from the car park-this was due to an alcohol induced fug from the night before :blast

Looks like another fine time was had by all. Sandy and i were really looking forward to coming this year, unfortunately we've had two family deaths in the last couple of weeks, so haven't been feeling up to much in the socialising department.
