Lino Tonti at Monza with Roberto Petrignani and Mike Hailwood at the 1971 launch of the V7 Sport.
The fastest 750 in the world at the time with a homologated top speed of over 125 mph.
Prototype V7 Sport (red frame) set 19 world records at Monza including the 1000km distance at an average 128 mph.
The beginning of a v-twin legend....

Yeah, that IS nice.

What's the story with the single front disc? Was a second disc an optional extra? (Google shows singles and doubles)

IIRC the 850 T had one disc on the front (drum rear) and the later 850 T3 had two discs on the front (disc rear). That was also when the linked brakes were introduced.

Lovely bike. Welcome home Mark.
Yep, linked brakes came in with the T3.

(I’d ditch the modern head guards for some period ones - if you can get them)

The garage is full and I’m trying to get rid of a bike but if I wasn’t.......might have been tempted by this Stelvio NTX.
Never even ridden one but always liked the look of them.....

As Andres says, they had just the one disc. I wondered if the left fork was from a later bike as it has the fitting points for a Caliper but having checked lots of photos it would appear that is original.

I think there was so much cross over between models at that time and often what ever the factory had to hand got used, however, I've just had a peek in Mario Colombo's Guzzi book and he shows the T without mounting points on the left leg..........

EDIT: I'm blind it HAS got the mounting points ~ there you go it is original :blast :D
