Border Bimble

Hi Rob,

I've got to drop Mrs Q off at Newcastle airport first thing on the Saturday morning, but would like to catch up with you all at some point along the way (if poss).

Still not going to wear a red rose tho' :D

I'm going to do the ride next week to work out the stops, I'll post up some suggested meeting points :thumby:

Reet then, this is, as the title says, a bimble. 3 of us did this at a steady pace and I've allowed a bit of extra time taking the number of bikes into account.

The mileage for this is 150 miles so if you can be ready with a full tank at 10am. There is a petrol station about 20 yards from the site so no excuses;)

For those who would like to meet up on route we will be stopping for photo opportunities at the Carter bar around 10.30, Jedburgh around 11.00, Kelso around 11.30 and Lindisfarne at 12.30pm. We will be stopping there for an hour before following the coastal route down towards Alnwick, Rothbury and back to Bellingham. We should be back by 4pm at the latest so you won't miss too much drinking time:beerjug:

Late booking attendee would love to join your run.

I'm old , fat and have a tractor so be kind.

There's so many on this bimble, Metro radio will be giving out travel congestion warnings. What some of you lot need is to blow the cobwebs out up the border back rods ride :thumby:

Rob...with the growing numbers, you may want to enquire about a police escort for the bimblebnige

run out

I went over to Bellingham on saturday with the bike and I did part of the route you are in for some good scenery and very clear roads hardly any traffic.

If its not too late could you add a couple of latecomers to the list, myself and Colt?

25, if it gets much more I can split it into two groups, 15 minutes apart.

Looking at the state of my tyres I think I'll opt to joint in here and have a look at the aforementioned island. What's for lunch?
