Yes, I have an 1150 adventure tank on my 1100
2 rubber strips at the back of the beak will be different - you'll need the metal tank type.
Yep, I did just that when my plastic tank bubbled.
As others have said, the rubber beak trim pieces are different for the metal tanks but they're still available new. You'll also need some m4 nuts for the fuel pump access plate as the steel tanks have studs rather than the tappings that the plastics have.

Hey im putting a 1150 tank on my 1100GS do you have an idea where i could get the differant rubber strips from? Cheers

Depends on if you currently have a plastic tank or steel one. Steel tank ones are srill available from bmw
